The distribution of zakat helps lessen the financial burden faced by recipients and boost their quality of life. For the period under review, the Bank played its role as a caring corporate citizen when it presented zakat contributions totalling RM100,000 for distribution to 100 deserving recipients in Kuching; RM908,000 for recipients in Sarawak, Johor, Kelantan, Perak and Kuala Lumpur; and RM5,000 to a representative of the Taman Sepakat Jaya surau towards carrying out programmes and activities that will benefit the community.
