EXIM Bank’s unwavering commitment to its stakeholders and the environment through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives caught the attention of the organisers of CSR Malaysia Awards 2019. Outstanding Malaysian corporations that demonstrate commitment and excellence in the areas of corporate sustainability and social responsibility, which in turn boosts the socio-economic transformation of Malaysia, were feted in a gala event at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur.
 
The event saw Deputy Women, Family, and Community Development Minister Hannah Yeoh presenting the “Company of the Year Award Overall Sustainability Excellence” to the Chairman of EXIM Bank, Dato’ Feizal Mustapha.
 
Anchored on a clear and simple goal – to serve, EXIM Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focuses under four main CSR pillars, namely Community, Environment, Marketplace and Workplace. Each of EXIM Bank’s CSR effort is undertaken with careful consideration on cost and benefit to our stakeholders and business, which brings far-reaching positive societal and environmental impacts, as it creates meaningful ripples in our ecosystem.
 
Recipients of these awards have been selected by a panel of high calibre judges representing corporate and social bodies. 50 Malaysian listed and private companies together with GLCs were honored, recognised and awarded for going the extra mile to reach out to needy communities and to engage in sustainability endeavours in efforts to create a better Malaysia.
 
The event was also attended by the senior management team of the Bank.
